Pro-counselling offers to Sunshine Day Nursery staff members access to a 24/7 telephone counselling platform to reach a qualified therapist at any time. The calls are confidential and anonymous.
Please, refrain from using this service if you are in a crisis
- If you need immediate help, or if you or anyone else is in immediate danger or harm, then please call the Police or any other relevant emergency services.
- If you are feeling suicidal or like hurting yourself, and you are concerned for your safety, you need to tell a doctor how you are feeling RIGHT AWAY. You should also contact a family member or a trusted friend, so that you won’t be alone right now.
- If safe to do so, you can also go to your local Accident and Emergency Departments where you will be assessed and treated by the relevant healthcare team.
How it works
- Go to the online portal www.pro-counselling.co.uk/counsellors
- Choose a therapist currently online and make a note of the 4-digit code
- Call the Freephone number, you will be asked for the 4-digit code of the therapist chosen
- The therapist will answer the phone
- If you do not have access to the internet, call the Freephone number and press * when prompted to be connected with one of the therapists available.
- You can also review the weekly schedule of each therapist to see when they will be online on the platform.

The service is confidential and anonymous, the therapists follow the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics, which means that they will not breach confidentiality unless an individual is deemed a danger to themselves or others.

The online counselling sessions are usually delivered via Zoom, but please, let the therapist know if you prefer to use another platform.
